Blue is my colour. I find it calming and beautiful. It is naturally serene and tranquil & symbolises the sky and sea and the depth and vastness of them.
According to the Colour Meaning:
“Blue symbolises trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven.
Blue is considered beneficial to the mind and body. It slows human metabolism and produces a calming effect. Blue is strongly associated with tranquility and calmness. In heraldry, blue is used to symbolise piety and sincerity.”
Thankfully, Blue Stones suit my Skin Tone and Complexion (Olive/Mediterranean) – it brings out the glow and tan & makes me feel summery as well as calm all year round.
I have 3 staple pieces of jewellery that I wear all day err’ day and one on Holidays or special occasions. I love that all of these Blue stones have a meaning and symbolism to them, it makes them even more special to wear.
December Birthstone Ring – Turquoise – Pandora
This ring has actually been discontinued in UK Pandora but you can buy it as part of a set. Yeah my Birthday isn’t in December but Jesus’ is so yeah. Happy Birthday Bro. I am wearing this for you my friend. The stone in this ring is Turquoise & it’s meaning is:
“Turquoise is perhaps the oldest stone in man’s history, the talisman of kings, shamans, and warriors. It is a stone of protection, strong and opaque, yet soothing to the touch, healing to the eye, as if carved from an azure heaven and slipped to earth. Its unique shade of blue, often blue-green, lends it name, Turquoise, to all things of this tranquil hue. The delicate veining or mottled webbing in cream or brown is inherent to the stone and serves to enhance its character.”
Aqua Blue Poetic Droplet Ring – Pandora – £15 SALE!
To be honest mate this ring was in the sale, £50 to £15… so why the frig not. it was blue and beautiful so I brought it. That’s all there is to this one. It is still in the sale though.
Moroccan Azurite – Marrakech, Morocco
I brought this Bracelet in Marrakech in the Souk about 6 years ago. They have so many beautiful pieces of jewellery in Marrakech and I just fell in love with it. I don’t wear it all the time because I wear it half way up my forearm but it is perfect for holidays and special occasions. The stone is Moroccan Azurite and it’s meaning is:
“Azurite tempers the mind; it releases stress and confusion, and alleviates worry, indecision, and thoughts that linger in the back of the consciousness. To restore balance and control over emotions and reactions, simply hold the crystal and ask to have the troublesome thoughts evaporate. It is a rubbing stone that prefers to be touched to release its energies, so when wearing or carrying Azurite, remember to rub it often.”
Paloma Picasso Sugar Stack Amazonite Pendant – Tiffany&Co
My newest and most precious piece of jewellery is this pendant from Tiffany&Co that Mum and Dad gave me for my 30th Birthday earlier this month. It is absolutely beautiful and so me. The stone in this pendant is Amazonite, which meaning is:
“Like waters deep and ancient, Amazonite beckons in captivating shades of turquoise-green, promising to soothe the spirit and calm the soul. Its energy is as powerful as the river for which it is named, and as bold as the legendary women warriors with whom it is connected, yet it tempers aggression, tames the irrational, and stills the disquiet. It provides harmony and balance.
Thanks to a magical combination of lead and water within its feldspar structure, its dazzling emerald hue and mottled light-green specs echo the color of the Amazon River and its calming and soothing energies. Hold tight to the Amazonite Crystal during times of stress and call on its ultra chill vibes for a much-needed float down your inner river of tranquility. The anti-anxiety medication of the crystal world, the Amazonite is a powerful heart chakra stone, helping to release toxic emotions when placed on the chest in a healing layout.”
I love that this stone helps calm and is known for its anti anxiety sources – it makes me feel calmer just wearing it.
