Ranked Quick Service Meals – Walt Disney World πŸ•πŸ”πŸŸπŸ§€

Welcome back Wilderness Explorers

We have got to the good stuff. FOOD. We all love a bit of food don’t we. Hot Food. Cold Food. Sweet Food. Savoury Food. Greasy Food. Salty Food. CHEESEY FOOD (my personal fav – I have cheese strings for veins). Well Disney has got it all & a lot of the time it was Mickey Shaped. I was genuinely in my element.

There will be 3 posts on Food – Ranked Quick Service, Ranked Table Service and Ranked Snacks. (For a bit more info on Quick Service, Table Service and Disney Dining Click Here).

Whilst in Disney, Dan & I kept a list on my iPhone about everywhere that we ate – ranked them out of 10 and put a couple of pros and cons. We really enjoyed doing this & thought it would be helpful for anyone planning their Trip. There are 100s & 100s of places to eat & sometimes it can feel overwhelming “how do I fit it all in to 2 weeks” so hopefully these next 3 posts will give you some insight into places that you need to go to & some places you could miss.

You will see under some of the locations there is a note that says if they accept Mobile Order. This means you can pre order your meal using the My Disney Experience App, you can then pick your food up right away without queuing. Definitely use this, for some places there are massive queues and this will save you a lot of time.

Lets get into it then…

Columbia Harbour House – Magic Kingdom – 5/10

Columbia Harbour House is officially a part ofΒ  Liberty Square but is located right on the edge next to Fantasy Land so it’s a really great spot. From the outside it doesn’t look that big but actually it is massive – upstairs there is a HUGE dining area and you are guaranteed to find somewhere to sit in the AC. The food mainly consist’sΒ  of sandwiches & salads – which is fab if you want something slightly healthier than your chicken nugget – obviously you can still get a nug there…it is Disney.

I had a Tuna Sandwich & Dan had a Lobster Roll and some water, we used this as a Quick Service Credit from our Dining Plan but it would have cost around $35.

It was a good sandwich, and filled a spot but Dan didn’t rate his Lobster Roll. The food was mediocre, nothing special. However, it was a great rest bite location from the midday sun. I would go back, mainly because of the convenient location & AC – the food was average, you can definitely get better food in the Magic Kingdom but you won’t get a better inside dining area.

Pizze Rizzo – Hollywood Studios 6.5/10

d1ad8422-76cb-499e-9598-230c8cef1698

PizzeRizzo is located in the Muppets Courtyard of Hollywood Studios, it actually used to be Pizza Planet (little bit sad that isn’t there anymore). It is set out like a typical New York Pizzeria & has a huge dining area and order station which means it is quick. It is a small menu, with only 4 Pizzas to choose from, a salad and a sub. I had a Cheese Pizza and Dan had a Pepperoni – they were a good size (like a Dominos Personal Pizza) and come with a little Caesar Salad and a bottle of water.

We used our Quick Service Dining Credit but this meal for two would set you back around $30.

Initially we ranked this restaurant quite high (7.5/8) but we then had a pizza at Blaze in Disney Springs & a delivery to our room and we had to move it down a bit.

For a quick, tasty Pizza with a great dining space I would definitely say this was worth a Quick Service Credit.

Be Our Guest – Breakfast Service – Magic Kingdom 4/10 (service & food) 8/10 (location)

824fc004-f896-4133-af75-125ff1ebfec0

Be Our Guest is normally a Table Service location for Lunch & Dinner but for Breakfast they open it up as a Quick Service.

So… this is probably going to be a very controversial review, as this is Disney’s hot spot location but it just wasn’t there for me. Let me start off by saying that the location, theming and decor is out of this world. Beauty & the Beast is one of my favourite Disney films and going into the Castle, seeing the Ball Room and the West Wing actually made me well up – it is nothing but spectacular and you should go purely for this reason.

The service & food on the other hand was anything but spectacular. When you arrive you choose what food you want, I had a kind of Egg’s Benedict and Dan had Sausages, Bacon and Eggs – you get some pastries to share, you then sit down and they bring it over to you. We were shouted at by a CM for not moving quick enough & not going to to the right order station… rude. The food wasn’t good & it just felt like being in a school canteen. It was probably the worst breakfast we had in Disney… (our Dinner wasn’t good either but we will get to that in the Table Service post). I think I was expecting something amazing because it is so difficult to get a table there. It just didn’t live up to that expectation. Shame really. It is worth going for a Breakfast to see the inside of the castle but if you don’t get a reservation… don’t worry, you will eat so much better food else where.

Breakfast would set you back around $65… horrendous amount of money and not worth it if you aren’t using a credit.

D-Luxe Burger – Disney Springs – 7/10

img_4657

Undeniably the Quick Service food options in Disney Springs are the best, there are so many options and everything we ate there was amazing!

This burger was delicious, chips were amazing – I had a Cheese Burger and Dan had a BBQ Burger. There are 6 different kinds to choose from & we also had two Milkshakes YUM. This was all included in our Quick Service credit.

If not using a credit it would have cost around $35. Definitely worth a stop.

Cosmic Rays – Magic Kingdom – 7/10

Sorry I haven’t got a picture – this is from google pictures.

This was the only Quick Service place we went to for Dinner in the parks – we mainly used a Table Service credit at Dinner. We had a late Fast Pass and wanted to see the Fireworks at 21:00 so we needed something quick.

We both had Chicken Nugs and Chips & a hot cheese dipping sauce… I mean why wouldn’t you.

The Chicken Nuggets were AMAZING – they are so big, crispy and proper chicken pieces. It was greasy, fast food but we both really enjoyed it. They also do Burgers, Hot Dogs, Sandwiches and Salads.

If not using a credit it would have cost around $30.Β If you are in a rush and want a quick dinner then head over there.

Backlot Express – Hollywood Studios – 6/10

No pictures again – soz gang.

We went to Backlot Express on our last day at Hollywood Studios and we had some Quick Service credits to use up – so we choose here.

Like Cosmic Rays, we also had Nugs and Chips. It wasn’t as good as Cosmic Rays but it was still pretty good. I don’t really like to eat the same thing twice, or in the same kind of place twice in Disney because there is so much option. In hindsight we probably would have gone somewhere else, but right now there isn’t much option for quick service in Hollywood Studios.

If not using a credit it would have cost around $30 – Dan did have Darth Vader waffles with his Nugs so he was GASSED.

Blaze Pizza – Disney Springs- 10/10

Hands down. The best pizza & Quick Service location on Disney. It was incredible and I could of eaten this everyday.

You line up and build your own pizza out of 100s of different fresh toppings (check the video below). It is quick, wood fired pizza and it was incredible. I went for a classic, Mozzarella, Basil, Tomato, ParmesanΒ  and Dan had a pepperoni.

If not using a credit it would have cost around $30. You 100% need to go to Blaze. It was one of the best meals we had & is worth every credit or penny.

The Polite Pig – Disney Springs 10/10

img_4667

Like Blaze, The Polite Pig is located in Disney Springs and again was one of the best meals we had in Disney. It is a modern BBQ restaurant, which is Florida inspired and has a huge array of Beer, Larger, Bourbon & Whisky to choose from

Dan & I choose to share a Slider Trio (pulled pork, brisket and fried chicken), some chicken wings and we then shared the Buttermilk Chess Pie for desert. We had been dribbling over for months via DFBs YouTube & was the reason we wanted to visit. I also had an Old Fashioned & Dan had a beer. It was absolutely incredible, you need to visit this place. This is a Quick Service Location where you Queue up, order pay and then find a table but as it was so busy we choose to sit at the bar and pay for our meal.

This is a little bit more expensive but worth every single penny, setting you back around $50/60.

Breakfast Service @ Caribbean Beach Hotel & Resort – 6.5/10

img_4832

We had Breakfast at our Hotel twice, once before we headed to Universal Studios and the other on our Travel home day. Due to the refurbishment of the Hotel, the eating location is quite chaotic – it is a small location which cannot house the amount of people trying to get it. The queues to get in and for the buffet were pretty big.

It is a typical Disney breakfast of Mickey Waffles, Eggs, Bacon, Sausages, Pastries and Fruit. Everything was fresh and delicious – we really enjoyed the breakfast and if you are staying at the Hotel then definitely give it a go (post refurb) it isn’t worth coming over to the Hotel to try it, if you are staying elsewhere.

I am not actually sure on the price but I would say it was around $30/35.

Satu’Li Canteen – Animal Kingdom – 8/10

img_4558

Satu’Li Canteen is located in the Pandora section of Animal Kingdom. The entirety of Pandora is absolutely breathtaking and completely immerses you into the world of Avatar. This Quick Service spot fits in perfectly & gives you food options you won’t see anywhere else in Disney World. Steamed Pods, Blue Pudding and delicious meats, with popping beads on top of a salad of your choice. Dan & I both had combination bowls of grilled beef and chicken. I had mine on Rice & Beans with a creamy sauce (I can’t remember what Dan had). It was delicious, filling and healthy. Definitely a location to grab a quick service meal in Animal Kingdom.

If not using a credit it would have cost around $35.

Casey’s Corner – Magic Kingdom 8/10

Casey’s Corner is a Disney Staple, you cannot walk down Main Street and not indulge in a their beautiful dogs. There are 6 different Dog options, and an option for corn dog nugs (trust me nugs are EVERYWHERE). Dan & I both had an all beef Hot Dog Meal but Dan had the foot long and I had a regular. Now I very rarely regret things in life, but not having a foot long was one of my biggest regrets. Get that big dog and shove it down your gob. I also had a pot of Hot Cheese dip for my chips, if you put cheese dip on the menu this fiend is going to get it. It was $1 dollar extra – not included in our QS Credit but totally worth it.

Also, before you @ me these dogs are pre sauce application. I don’t eat my food dry, come on.

If not using a credit it would have cost around $25/30.

That is all the Quick Service Locations we ate at & I hope it has helped πŸ™‚

What are your experiences of these places? Do you have an recommendations for me?
