Beauty Bay Haul – September

I haven’t brought a lot of make up since April when I went ham in Sephora whilst we were in Florida. That was 5 months ago (I don’t think I have ever been that long without really spending on Make Up) so I  needed to replace empties and try a couple of new things I have had my eye on. I did a bit of shopping on Beauty Bay and then on the High Street, so there will be a couple of posts on Make Up coming up.

Let’s get into it.

Jeffree Star – Velour Liquid Lipstick – Birthday Suit – £16.00

Lightweight and long lasting, a lip colour that has all the bold style of its creator.
Innovatively formulated to offer stay all day, opaque colour, Velour Liquid Lipstick is the perfect way to create a flawless pout in minutes. Built upon the success of Jeffree Star himself, the impressive quick dry finish offers everything you want from a liquid lipstick and more, meaning you never have to settle for anything less than the best.
  • Vegan friendly.
  • Free from parabens and gluten.

Jeffree Star – Liquid Skin Frost – Frozen Peach – £23.00

A metallic liquid highlighter.
Featuring an innovative, highly-concentrated formula, Jeffree Star’s Liquid Highlighter effortlessly delivers a luminous next-level glow. Wear alone or add to your favourite skincare products to create a radiant, glittery finish.
  • Vegan friendly
  • Cruelty free

Ever since watch Shane Dawson’s series on Jeffree Star I have pretty much binge watched all of JS’ videos, which has ultimately meant I NEEDED some of his make up. I could have spent a lot of money but I whittled it down to these two products. The Highlighter just looked amazing on JS videos and who doesn’t love a liquid lipstick?

I will update you on how they perform in a review post.

Anastasia Beverly Hills – Norvina Eyeshadow Palette – £43

img_6078

A fourteen-colour eyeshadow palette.
Containing a variety of intensely pigmented matte and shimmer shades, Norvina Eyeshadow Palette blends seamlessly to deliver a multitude of customised looks. Housed in a suede coated purple compact, this luxurious palette is sure to become a makeup bag staple.

I love that ABH have released a palette with 7 Mattes and 7 Shimmers – there is just so much choice. ABH shadows are my absolute favourite, they are pigmented, creamy and so blendable (do I sounds like a Beauty Guru yet?)- they just get it right. I love the colour story of this palette,  it is so pretty and I cannot wait to play around with this.

LA Girl PRO Conceal HD High Definition Concealer – Peach Corrector – £5

Used to even skin tone, blur fine lines and conceal dark circles for a face free of imperfections.
Long wearing and crease-resistant, PRO.conceal HD High Definition Concealer is available in a variety of shades to cover and correct all skin types and tones. Due to its lightweight texture both a corrector and concealer can be applied simultaneously to achieve a perfectly covered yet beautifully natural look.

I needed something to cover the dark circles around my eyes and some of the discolouration in my skin and I had read great things about this Corrector, it also helps it is pretty cheap. Let’s see if correctors actually work as I have never used one before.

Zoeva Rose Gold Brow Brush 322 – £8

ZOEVA Rose Golden Vol.2 322 Brow Line Brush is a short, angled brush which makes application of brow colour and powder a professional breeze.
Suitable for all cream and powder eyebrow cosmetics, Rose Golden Vol.2 322 Brow Line Brush is a wide, short and slightly angled makeup brush which is beautifully crafted with Vegan-friendly Taklon bristles. The angled shape will help you to create the perfect arch with either creamy or powder products and is a must have tool for well-defined eyebrows.
Perfectly balancing the measure between elegance and practicality, Rose Golden Vol.2 322 Brow Line Brush infuses pink, gold and white, making it the perfect addition to any beauty junkie’s collection.

This brush was a replacement for one that I lost, or my cat has hidden – she loves to take the stuff from my Make Up table. I had this in black before but the Rose Gold was so pretty.

Zoeva Luxe Fan Brush 129 – £11

ZOEVA 129 Luxe Fan Brush is a high performance powder brush which helps to erase product fall out and apply a light coverage of powder makeup.
Join the fan club and embrace the professional results 129 Luxe Fan Brush delivers. A multifunctional tool for application of highlighter, blush and bronzer, 129 Luxe Fan Brush is also ideal for brushing away eye shadow fall out for that picture perfect finish.
Featuring dreamy soft Natural and Synthetic bristles, 129 Luxe Fan Brush caresses your face and delivers a natural finish with all powder makeup.

For the last few years I have used a Laura Mercier fan brush which is really great but the fan wasn’t very wide or thick so I was on the look out for a bigger one. I loved my Zoeva Brow Brush so I thought I would try their Fan brush as well. It is super full and wide and feels beautiful on my skin, really happy with this. I definitely recommend Zoeva brushes.

Black Canvas E44 Flat Eye Brush – 6.50

A flat eye definer.
To be used along the lash line and eyebrows, E44 Flat Eye Brush can be used with creams, liquids and powders to enhance and define. Create the ultimate smoky eye by smudging colour in the socket line or fill sparse eyebrows with short, natural strokes.

I wanted a brush to really define my eyebrows with concealer and thought this would be my best bet. It works perfectly & definitely recommend if you want a brush to tidy up your brush and have a nice fresh line.

What are your thoughts on any of these products?

I will do some follow up posts on how the JS and ABH products perform on my skin and eyes with some make up looks – so keep an eye out for those.

Thanks for reading

A x
