High Street Haul – September

I told you I brought a fair bit this month… but like I said in my Beauty Bay Haul it has been a LONG time since I have really brought any Make Up and I really need to stock up on all of my empties.  I also spent a huge chunk of August watching Jeffree Starr reviews, so I wanted to try a couple of his products (see previous haul) and a Jeffree Starr approved foundation.

YSL All Hours Liquid Foundation – B40 Sand -£35

YSL All Hours Liquid Foundation has you covered for endless nights: own the night and the day with a matte foundation for a flawless complexion, which stays put for up to 24 hours. A rich level of fine pigments means full coverage with a flawless, even finish, without a mask-like effect. The high coverage foundation’s innovative formula is waterproof and transfer-resistant, with no compromise on comfort and no need to touch up.
The oil-free formula gives a matte look throughout the day and helps to reduce the appearance of pores. Apply with the All Hours Blender for a polished, flawless finish. For increased wear & hold, apply All Hours Primer before the foundation, an instant perfecting layer for a lasting matte complexion.
The YSL All Hours Liquid Matte Foundation formula is enriched with a skincare complex and UV filter leaving skin looking fresh and smooth. Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. Dermatologically tested. Non-comedogenic. SPF 20.

I have been using Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation for the past year (you can check out that review here) and I have loved it, it was brilliant and flawless. However, my skin has changed over the passed few months,  I put that down to my use of indigestible collagen, Crushed Tonic.  Due to this skin change, the Foundation just doesn’t last like it used to and I need a Matte, Full Coverage, Air Brushed look. Jeffree Star talked so highly of the YSL All Hours foundation and it sounded exactly what I needed. I went and was colour matched in House of Fraser, I am shade B40 Sand. I will do a proper review once I have used it for over a week but so far it is amazing.

Make Up Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer – C9 – £4

For medium skin tones with a golden undertone. The concealer for everyone. 18 shades ranging from fair to deep, in cool, neutral and warm undertones. Lightweight yet full coverage concealer to cover blemishes, even skin tone and counteract dark circles, with a matte finish that won’t setting or accentuate fine lines and pores. Long wearing intense pigment that can also be used to contour and add definition. Our large doe foot applicator allows for smooth application that won’t drag on the delicate skin under your eyes.

I genuinely thought I had spoken about this before, but I don’t think I have.. apologies if I have. I have been using this Concealer for a long time, it is just amazing. I am sure you have all heard about it before, from various Beauty Influencer’s but it is £4 and it works better than many of the High End products I have used. It is worth giving it a go for £4, highly recommend it. The only problem I find is that it can be a struggle to get your hands on your shade, it is out of stock in store quite a lot. If you are in the UK Superdrug sell this & in the US, Ulta does.

Make Up Revolution – Lace – Translucent Setting Powder – £5

A neutral light pink toned baking powder. Sets and mattifies makeup to last all day. Helps to prevent oils throughout the day and extend the wear of your makeup. Also helps to diffuse imperfections and keep your skin matte! Can be used to set or bake your makeup. Apply heavily to your T-zone and under eyes and leave to sit for 5 minutes and dust away for a flawless finish.

I have been using the MUR Banana Powder as my everyday setting powder for a while now, which you can read about here. I loved the formula of it but some reason recently it is looking a bit yellow on my skin, where it didn’t before… odd. As I liked the formula, I thought I would try the translucent shade. This shade is SO much better for my skin tone. Again, this is so cheap and really works. I still have the original banana powder that I brought, when I wrote the post linked above, so it lasts FOREVER, such a good product for your money.

PIXI Lower Lash Mascara  -£12

Providing easy access to those hard-to-reach inner corners and shorter bottom lashes, {Pixi}’s Lower Lash Mascara has an ultra-fine wand to coat each and every hair, without the risk of clumps or smudges.

Guys, don’t worry I am not so boujie that I have a mascara for each of my lashes… I wish I was but I am not that extra…yet. I have Eyelash Extensions on my top lashes so I only use a mascara for my lower lashes. Instead of making a massive mess with a larger mascara applicator, I thought I would give this a go and it works a lot better. I absolutely love it, it suits my eyelash needs completely. If you have Eyelash Extensions and only need to apply mascara on your lower lash I definitely recommend this one.

Pixie Glow Mud Cleanser – £18

A brightening and clarifying cleansing ‘mud’, {Pixi}’s gentle Glow Mud Cleanser contains 5% glycolic acid – a natural, chemical exfoliant (it’s derived from sugar cane) – which works to melt the ‘glue’ that binds dulling dead cells and debris to skin’s surface, revealing the healthy ‘new’ cells underneath. An incredibly effective way to brighten your complexion without scrubbing or exacerbating sensitivity, this detoxifying formula ticks almost every box; purifying, unifying, soothing and hydrating thanks to a cocktail of nourishing oils, glycerin, aloe and hyaluronic acid. Use daily – am and pm – then follow with bestselling Glow Tonic for added, radiance-boosting benefit. You may experience a tingling sensation at first – if you’re susceptible to redness or skin reactivity, build up your tolerance gradually. The ‘tingling’ is a sign the product’s working, and you’ll soon become conditioned (and addicted to your new-found luminosity)!

You guys will know from my previous favorites and The Body Shop hauls, that I normally use a Seaweed or Tea Tree Cleanser from TBS and I love it. I had seen so many things about Pixi Skin care and I wanted to give it a go – plus who doesn’t love a bit of acid? I really like the formula and feel of this on my face but if I am 100% honest, I really haven’t noticed that much of a difference to my skin. It is quite an expensive Cleanser and I am undecided if it is worth it… to be continued with this one.

Have you guys got an High Street favourites that I need to try? Have you tried any of the above? Let me know!

  1. Girl I am so in need of some new makeup it’s ridiculous, I’m that girl that will scrape every last drop out of the tube because I’m too lazy to go out and buy more. I’ve been needed translucent setting powder for the longest time and £5 is a bargain (or maybe I’m just naive lol) either way I need to get myself some asap .xx

    1. Hahaha that’s exactly what I did but I had scraped the last scrap I could of literally every product I owned. It’s a super good price, I’ve used a Laura Mercier one & that was around £40… this is just as good! Go and get some xx
