September Favourites

Hi Lovelies.

Sorry I have been a bad blogger over the last couple of weeks & have completely missed my schedule days of Wednesdays and Sundays… bad blog bitch. I have been so so busy at work & when it comes to the weekend (when I write) I have just been absolutely knackered. I literally get up, change my PJS and watch Netflix all day. The cold weather just brings out the sloth in me. I have scheduled posts for every Wednesday and Sunday for October though, so we are back on track.

I did a lot little bit of purchasing in September and there will be a few items in these favourites but check the posts out for everything I brought.

Now I have got that sorry lazy excuse out of the way, let’s get down to my favourites for September..

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lip – Birthday Suit – £16

Lightweight and long lasting, a lip colour that has all the bold style of its creator.
Innovatively formulated to offer stay all day, opaque colour, Velour Liquid Lipstick is the perfect way to create a flawless pout in minutes. Built upon the success of Jeffree Star himself, the impressive quick dry finish offers everything you want from a liquid lipstick and more, meaning you never have to settle for anything less than the best.
  • Vegan friendly.
  • Free from parabens and gluten.

I have worn this liquid lip everyday in September, the colour is beautiful and the staying power of it is CRAZY. It literally lasts all day which is perfect for work. It is creamy, full colour in one swipe and doesn’t dry out my lips (like a Kylie Liquid Lip… TEA) and stays all day. I definitely recommend if you love a liquid lip.

YSL All Hours Liquid Foundation – B40 Sand -£35

YSL All Hours Liquid Foundation has you covered for endless nights: own the night and the day with a matte foundation for a flawless complexion, which stays put for up to 24 hours. A rich level of fine pigments means full coverage with a flawless, even finish, without a mask-like effect. The high coverage foundation’s innovative formula is waterproof and transfer-resistant, with no compromise on comfort and no need to touch up.
The oil-free formula gives a matte look throughout the day and helps to reduce the appearance of pores. Apply with the All Hours Blender for a polished, flawless finish. For increased wear & hold, apply All Hours Primer before the foundation, an instant perfecting layer for a lasting matte complexion.
The YSL All Hours Liquid Matte Foundation formula is enriched with a skincare complex and UV filter leaving skin looking fresh and smooth. Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. Dermatologically tested. Non-comedogenic. SPF 20.

This foundation is fab. It is completely full coverage, and applies beautifully with my beauty blender. It is a matte finish but still has a glow to it and looks like a second skin. I recommended this to my mum and she absolutely loves it to. If you like a full, matte look then this is the one for you. Did I mention it also smells DELICIOUS – like luxuryyyyy. I want to try the primer that comes with the foundation as well, but it still works perfectly without.

Anastasia Beverly Hills – Norvina Eyeshadow Palette – £43

A fourteen-colour eyeshadow palette.
Containing a variety of intensely pigmented matte and shimmer shades, Norvina Eyeshadow Palette blends seamlessly to deliver a multitude of customised looks. Housed in a suede coated purple compact, this luxurious palette is sure to become a makeup bag staple.

AHHH this palette. I have been dreaming about owning this as soon as I saw it. I couldn’t wait to try it out when I finally got my hands on it last month. Like all ABH palettes it is super pigmented, so creamy and blendable. I had so much fun creating looks with this and I received so many compliments about my eye looks when I use it.

* ABH palette and YSL foundation.

Highlights Mint Hot Chocolate – £4.00

I am back on my healthy eating kick to try and loose a stone by Christmas (I have lost 3 already this year) so this Hot Chocolate has just been perfect. It feel chocolatey and indulgent yet it is only a few calories. It really takes the edge of when I fancy something sweet.

TV & Film

When a teen on the autism spectrum decides to get a girlfriend, his bid for more independence puts his whole family on a path of self-discovery

I usually watch quite heavy, gritty dramas on Netflix or TV so it has been quite nice and refreshing to watch some lighter TV this month. I have really enjoyed ATypical, it is funny and heartwarming and I just love Sam. Just a nice wholesome, easy watching programme,

Two struggling strangers connect during a mind-bending pharmaceutical trial involving a doctor with mother issues and an emotionally complex computer.

I REALLY enjoyed this. It was like a darker, weirder, emotional Inception mixed with Black Mirror. Jonah Hill and Emma Stone were fantastic and I loved it. Absolutely fantastic TV.

I have also been enjoying the Shane Dawson series on Jake Paul but it hasn’t finished yet, so I will wait till the end of October to give my feelings on that… they are a bit all over the place with it at the moment.

Have you seen either of these TV programmes or watching Shane?

A x

  2. Literally just before I read this post I placed an order for a crap ton of makeup (I buy it approx once a year because I really am just that lazy) so I’m excited to see how it turns out, that YSL foundation looks dreamy!! xx

      1. Stocked up on some old things that I needed new ones of (brow gel, mascara etc) and then thought I’d try out some different foundations, I always order online cause they’re way cheaper than buying in store so thought I’d try out some new concealers and foundations and see which works best – I’m literally so pale I can NEVER find a colour that matches my skin tone, it’s always always too dark so I’ve literally picked the lightest shades they had and we’ll see how I get on hahaha (hopefully I don’t end up looking like Casper…but that’s what bronzer’s for right?) also got a shit ton of highlighters cause come on…you can never have enough of those ✨xxx

      2. I need a new brow gel so let me know how the one you got works! Hahaha maybe Fenty would have your colour?
I have so many highlighters and I just want more and more. There is never enough highlight in the world. Glow baby glow xxx

      3. I use clear brow gels instead of tinted (I use the Anastasia dip brow pomade for my brows) and then I use the clear gel to set them in place afterwards so at the minute I’m using the Loreal brow artist plumper (highly recommend, it’s lasted me forever) but couldn’t find it on the website I was using so I’ve tried another one instead (can’t remember the name right now) but hopefully it works just as good! xxx

      4. I use the ABH dip pomade and I LOVE it. Nothing has ever come close to that product for me! Ooooo I’m gonna try that L’Oréal one. I’ve been using the benefit one but it is pretty pricey! Xxx
