Welcome back to Part 2 of my Bucket List Destinations, check out Part One for an intro into why I love to travel and the first half of my list.
Sea Hut – Maldives 🇲🇻
Can you imagine anything more magical than waking up, strolling out onto your little decking and being able to jump right into the beautiful, crystal clear, Indian Ocean? What about sitting out under the stars whilst eating the freshest sea food? Being able to lounge on a hammock over the sea whilst reading? Are you in a dream because I am. The Maldives just feels like a dream to me and really saddens me that in our lifetime this beautiful piece of paradise will be completely lost into the Ocean. I need to go before this happens… I just need to win the lottery first.
Amsterdam – Netherlands 🇳🇱
I don’t know why I haven’t been to Amsterdam yet, it isn’t that far away and isn’t expensive for me to get there so I need to do it in the near future. What interests me about Amsterdam isn’t what people (at least people I know) actually go for. I am not bothered about the Red Light District and I am not bothered about getting high but why I want to go there is because of the Art and the History. All of the museums, sitting out on the canal drinking coffee and people watching. I have always wanted to go and see the Anne Frank Museum, WW2 history really fascinates me and I have been to Krakow and Berlin specifically to see the WW2 history. It just looks like a beautiful and historically interesting city.
Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort– Norway 🇳🇴
I mentioned Denmark in my previous post and I am just so interested in Scandinavia and also want to go to Norway. I would actually like to travel around all of Scandinavia and visit all the cities but I really want to stay in this resort. Dan & I absolutely love the night sky and Dan specifically loves astronomy, so even if we didn’t get to see the Northern Lights (as I know it isn’t guaranteed) the idea of a glass celling looking into the sky whilst we sleep is just incredible.
Road Trip from New Orleans, Memphis to Nashville. 🇺🇸
I would LOVE to do a road trip in the States, I know the famous one is Route 66, which don’t get me wrong I really do want to do but New Orleans, Memphis and Nashville are cities I have always wanted to go to. I am a huge music fan, I love Jazz, Blues and Country and I would love to be in the cities famous for this. I am a HUGE Johnny Cash fan and want to be in the place he loved and see his home. The South also fascinates me, the culture, food and architecture, it is just completely different from anywhere else in the world I have been. This is something I have always talked about doing with me Dad, so it will probably be a trip we do as a family at some point in the future.
British Columbia – Canada 🇨🇦
There is something very romantic to me about Canada & I want to travel to entire country (I would actually emigrate there if we could) but there is something about British Columbia that just looks like a fairytale to me. My Mum has travelled Canada and lived there for a while, actually almost went to live there when she was younger, and the way she speaks about it, with so much love it makes me want to be there. I would love to rent a little cabin in the woods on a lake and just be at peace, write my book and revel in the nature. The vast landscape of Canada is so incredibly amazing and I know it is somewhere I want to visit.
There are loads more places I want to visit but these are my top 10 – I hope you enjoyed reading them and if you have been to any of these places and have any ideas of things to do, see or eat then please let me know!
